Today as we were perusing the super exciting cleaning aisles of Target, you pointed to a sponge and said, "Can I peeeeease have one?" What mother in her right mind would say no to that???
So we got home, I cut the sponge into little pieces, and you went to work scrubbing the deck...
What a pleasant game. I titled this post 'Cinderella' but I think you look more like Gus Gus...
We made these bubbles over the summer and you were such a good helper. Who knew they were so easy to make?! Can you blow bubbles in the winter or do they freeze? Deep thoughts...
Homemade Bubbles
1 1/2 cups of water 6 T liquid soap 2 T corn syrup
You are a big fan of play-doh, but mostly just smushing it deep into the carpet. So what did I decide to do?? Make HOMEMADE play-doh so you could ruin even more of the house! But I don't mind, I love play-doh too. It smells like childhood and you can turn it into spaghetti with one of these. (Yes, that is mommy's cocktail hiding behind the tupperware...)
Homemade Play-Doh (Makes approx. 2 cups)
1 cup flour 1/2 cup salt 1 T oil (I used vegetable) 2 tsp cream of tartar 1 cup water Few drops food coloring
Place all ingredients in a pot...
Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly...
Let cool. It will appear lumpy and soft first, but once it cools it becomes playdoh-like consistency.
You love to color. Thankfully, you no longer seem interested in eating crayons. However, you also have zero interest in coloring on paper. Instead, you like to color on things. Like your grandparent's floor, for instance...
How did I let that happen, you're wondering? I was busy coloring in a Dora coloring book. Obviously, I was enjoying it far too much and ignoring you.
