The Big Hand!

You are obsessed with two things these days. One, a little show you like to call "The Big Hand Show" (otherwise known as The Voice). You actually can point out "Bake Shetton" and now, whenever you see a girl with platinum blond hair, you say, "Kiss-tina!" But mostly, you're obsessed with making "the big hand"...

It's not easy for your chubby little fingers, so you actually prefer it when Mama or Dada do it. Which brings me to your second obsession: taking pictures. I think you might actually have an eye for it! This you took on an airplane...

You caught me trying to watch Top Chef...

Over it...

Yo Gabba Gabba Live

In just 9 short days, we will be going to Yo Gabba Gabba Live!!!!

Who do you think is most excited? Your dad, with his new Gabba Vans that you like to rock... ME, who has a crush on Brobee... or YOU, who says "WO WO WO GABBA WO WO WO GABBA!" all, day, long!?

We all sing with the same voice!

This just made me seriously happy:

I was showing you Sesame Street videos on YouTube while you were in your highchair, trying to distract you enough to eat ANYTHING (you've been sick, you're no longer into food), and I came across this video. The song came flooding back to me almost immediately, and when the chorus started, I practically flew out of my chair in a joyous, melodic movement.

"AND WE SING IN HAR-MON-EEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Beautiful.

These kids must be like 50 now.

Really Sesame Street?

I nursed you, but this makes me feel funny.

Maybe it's because she sounds like a small child? Or maybe it's other reasons...

Bill

I just asked you if you wanted to watch Kill Bill.

I meant Little Bill.

But Kill Bill would have been fun too.

nick at morning

I will not become one of those mothers who uses the TV as a clutch. I will not become one of those mothers who uses the TV as a clutch. I will not become one of those mothers who uses the TV as a clutch. I will not...

Oh, I'm sorry! Got a little carried away there. The thing is, you have just discovered Nick Jr. You've reached an age where you will actually pay attention to the TV for maybe 15 minutes straight. I can do a lot of things in 15 minutes! I can make a phone call, write an email, drink some coffee, eat a bagel, go to the bathroom, do a crossword puzzle, put on clothes, brush my hair, drink a beer... I can do all of these things! So I am enjoying Nick Jr. for the time being, until the other moms who do nothing wrong tell me that there's trans fat or something in Nick Jr. and then I'll have to come up with something else.

This guy, however, not really enjoying him...
